...lately, so there is a lot of works I've completed but still not uploaded. Shall get back on track :)
So, for now it seems I'm managing to keep this page regularly updated despite my natural tendency to distraction. Yay me!
...since I last updated this page. Let's see if this time I manage to keep at it :)
...since I last updated this page. Let's see if this time I manage to keep at it :)
I'm so excited cause this www.internoscon.it is going to happen!
Happy! Happpy! Joy! Joy!
I'm the worst, really! It's been so long since my last update that even saying "sorry" sounds ridicolous!

I'd love to put something new in my gallery, but it seems I'm unable to upload this evening :(

Hope this will soon fix itself...
Sorry for neglecting so long my DA account, watchers, commenters and friends.
I simply got too busy... but luckily now I'm back :)
In a few hours I'll be leaving to attend this event (solmukohta.org/).
I have the greatest expectations about it and about the fact that I'll be in a (kind of) vacation with my SO!

I'll be back from April 8, be good until then! ;)
D'oh! Dessin75 (dessin75.deviantart.com/) tagged me so here it is:

Rules
-------

1 - Post these rules.
2 - Each tagged person must post 8 things about themselves on their journal.
3 - At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 friends/people and post their icons on the same journal.
4 - Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.

So, here's the 8 things about me:

1) You wouldn't say looking at me, but I love heavy metal.

2) Terry Pratchett and Joss Whedon are my favourite writers.

3) When I started helping in demoing Narrattiva's games I was a little anxious (I'm a bit shy), but now that I had some practice I have SO MUCH FUN demoing! I love meeting new people and seeing what they can come up with!

4) I'm an hopeless romantic and have finally come to accept how this side of myself affects my taste in entertainment and rpg play. Fuck the cliché I know what I like.

5) I have a comic project I'm working on that I hope to see published someday.
Soon the world will know…

6) Recently I started embroidering with beads and playing with ribbons and trimmings. Don't know what has gotten into me (never been interested in this kind of things… ) but I find it immensely relaxing. I'm thinkinf of posting some of my "works".

7) I'm madly in love with my husband cause he's too awesome.

8) I'm an awful glutton for sweets and chocolate and ice cream and… (well you get the idea)

And now I tag this talented deviants (sorry but I totally ignore how to show their icons... :P ):

Just got back from Lucca Comics & Games.
Had a blast and got awfully tired.
Some photos here:

And the busy goes on! But I've managed to upload a new and improved version of my website which I'm quite happy with.
Things are happening which hopefully will bring fruit in the future: let's keep our fingers crossed !

Once again thanks to visitors and friends who check out my gallery and bear with my infrequent posting.
Well, more ore less.
Really an awfully busy period this one, and I'm not sure when it will get less so…
I'll try to upload a bit more, anyway.

Thanks again to everyone visiting!
Lately I've neglected a bit DA because of  a sudden cluster of work (which I can't say displeases me).

Now I've been lucky enough to get a very cool commission but it's all NDA. :paranoid:
Hope they will authorize me to post something in the future after disclosure of the project.

This job has a deadline that we'll make my festivities quite intense, so I foresee I won't draw much else in the next weeks.

In the meantime, to keep things moving, I'll upload what I can of my old private pieces or previous commissions.

Wish me luck guys and girls! :-)
Oh, joy and happines!

To my utmost delight my personal website is now online at www.claudiacangini.com!

All this was possible thanks to the informatic effort of my adorable husband Michele (thank you, honey!).
Let's hope this helps bringing home commissions!

I greatly enjoied doing the graphic design for this site, hope you like it too :-)

P.S. after this, experimenting will proceed tirelessly!
Lately I'm having fun trying some new drawing styles.
In the next days I'll post the last "dread" images and the first trials hoping to receive some opinions.
Thank you in advance :-)
I'm a BIG Terry Pratchett fan (almost an otaku, really ^^;) so every novel is a merry event for me. :boogie:

Lately I've been quite busy but, as soon as I had the book in my hands, I managed to devour it in a few days and this are my impressions for all the other Pterry fans out there who could be interested.

This is a Tiffany Aching book, so it already starts with a lovely main character and also features appearances of all time favourites like Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg.

Of course it also has lotsa Feegles, and how can you not love those blue skinned sweeties?  :aww: Crivens!

The book has suspense and romance and antropomorphic personifications trying to learn to be human and teenager girls trying to learn to be witches so the point of interest are many.

It's very pleasant overall, but somehow it left me a bit unsatisfied in the end. The resolution wasn't so fulfilling, and many things are left unsaid in my impression.

Of course the book is wonderfully written, insightful and amusing at the same time as usual but if I became so picky is all Pterry's fault.
After all it was him setting the peak of my expectations so high with Night Watch (all time best book in the Discworld series in my opinion, and the fact that I'm hopelessly in love with Samuel Vimes have nothing at all to do with it  ).

Well, this is all for my review.
If anyone is interested in discussing anything Pterry-related he'd be welcome.
So, from what I understand this is a kind of joke... GriMage "tagged" me so now this is what I have to do:

GUIDELINES :
1. Put your music player on shuffle.
2. Press forward for each question.
3. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesnt make sense. NO CHEATING!
4. Tag 5 ppl at their tagboard to ask them to do this!
5. Bold the questions and with the answers, give your own comments on how it relates to the questions.
(argh... don't know how to do this! I'm so lame... :cries:)

- How are you feeling today?
Family - Joe Hisaishi (Howl's Moving Castle O.S.T.)
Uuhm... Lately I found myself in quite difficult spot and leaned heavily on my family support, so this could be quite accurate :-)

- Will you get far in life?
Toccata - Yngwie J. Malmsteen (Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra)
:o  Does this mean "with a 'toccata' let's hope so?"
(sorry, italian language joke)

- How do your friends see you?
Time to know - Yoko Kanno (Cowboy BeBop O.S.T. - Future Blues) Yeah, I agree but this is not much helpful, is it?

- Will you get married?
The Egg and You - Yoko Kanno ( Cowboy BeBop O.S.T. - No Disc)
what's this "a match made in heaven"? XD
Since I'm already married I'm afraid this "Egg" guy will have to find some other girl...  :flirty:

- What is your best friend's theme song?
Possession - Sarah McLachlan (Due South O.S.T.)
Actually this could be quite accurate, at least I know for sure he likes it very much.

- What is the story of your life?
La Grande Porte de Kiev - Modest Mussorgsky (Pictures at an Exhibition)
Such a triumphant piece?  :omg:  Really? Doesn't feel like that...

What was high school like?
Talking to the dead - Rage (End of all Days)
:lmao: Yeah it was often quite like that!

- How can you get ahead in life?
Harmageddon - Apocalyptica (Inquisition Symphony)
I have to start looking for 3 mounted friends, then....  :plotting:

- What is the best thing about your friends?
A Storm is coming - Howard Shore (The Return of the King O.S.T.)
Hmmm... Actually with some of them a storm is certainly brewing...  :devilish:

- What is in store for this weekend?
Witch of the Wastelands - Joe Hisaishi ( Howl's Moving Castle O.S.T.)
Yay! I'll be a witch and cast spells with my graphic tablet!  8-)

- What song describes you?
A far cry - Yoko Kanno (Escaflowne O.S.T.)
Ugh! R... Really?   :O_o:

- To describe your grandparents?
The real man - Yoko Kanno (Cowboy BeBop O.S.T. - Blue)
Well, maybe some of them was, I almost didn't get to know them...

- How is your life going?
3 cm - Yoko Kanno (Macross Plus O.S.T.)
As you can see a bit slow paced right now...  :depressed:

- What song will they play at your funeral?
No money - Yoko Kanno (Cowboy BeBop O.S.T. - Future Blues)
It seems I'll die pennyless...   :tears:

- How does the world see you?
Over and over - Rage (XIII)
Yeah, the world just can't get rid of me, no matter how much he tries!  :mwahaha:

- Will you have a happy life?
Stand - The Unknown (Dirty Diamonds)
Uhm, maybe there's a serious message in this, considering the song goes "If you don't stand for some thing you will fall for everything"

- What do your friends really think of you?
Time - Sargant Fury (Turn the Page)+
Criptic! Time will tell? I am a waste of time? My friendship will last in time?  :o

- Do people secretly lust after you?
Vitamin A - Yoko Kanno (Cowboy BeBop O.S.T. - Future Blues)
They should cause it would be good for the healthiness of their sex life!  =D

How can I make myself happy?
Sad Moon - Yoko Kanno (Wolf's Rain O.S.T.)
Bit of a contradiction here?  ^^;

What should you do with your life?
Stranger in Paradise - Tony Bennet (Lounge: Delicate Swing compilation)
Er... I give up.  :o

Will you ever have children?
The Good the Bad and the Ugly - Ennio Morricone (Film Music by E.M.)
All three of them?!  :omfg: Wouldn't it be better to stop after the first one?  ^^;

So this is it. Actually it was quite an amusing chore.
I just want to add that I'm SO HAPPY because right now I've got in my greedy little paws "Wintersmith", the latest Terry Pratchett novel.  :giggle: At last!
This is quite a stressful moment in my life.
I've come really appreciate DA as a place in which I can ease my mind seeing a lot of great art and talking with so many nice people about our work.

Thank you everyone, right now you are a ray of light in my life :-)

(actually I didn't mean to sound so melodramatic. Let's keep the general meaning minus the drama, ok?)

Best!

Here I am again (finally!) I'll do my best to catch up quickly with my messages and my watch (  :O agh! so many new deviations...)

Thanks to all those that in the meantime expressed support
